Great book content to understand easily what is AI and how to apply it at work. The table of contents page numbers is incorrect. eg. the correct page number for Generative AI Foundations is 57, not 52 as it is written in the table of contents. Please review and correct the page numbers in the table of contents.

This book would be an excellent starting point for individuals new to computer science and AI. It provides a well-summarized and beginner-friendly introduction to computer algorithms, analytics, and artificial intelligence. However, as software development and analytics professional, I found it too basic for my needs. I would like to commend the author for creating a beginner-friendly resource and calling out “for beginner” in the title – I should have paid attention. If you’re looking to learn about the mechanics of AI or Gen AI and already have experience in analytics, this book might be too foundational for you.

Artificial Intelligence and generative AI for Beginner’s is an exceptional introductory book that demystifies the fascinating world of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and delves into the realm of generative AI.It is written with the intention of being accessible to beginners, the author breaks down complex concepts into simplified explanations, ensuring that readers without prior knowledge of AI can understand the fundamental principles. The book provides a solid foundation by covering the basics of AI, including machine learning, neural networks, and deep learning, before delving into the specifics of generative AI. One of the book’s strengths lies in its clarity of explanation. The author avoids overwhelming readers with technical jargon, instead opting for concise and straightforward language.

I loved the book on Audible (2023) version so much I decided to order a hard copy when I realized there was an updated 2024 version! Sadly, I received the 2023 version and will be sending it back and now have to wait for the one I actually ordered. Otherwise, good read and easy to follow.

A very good intriduction to what AI is, how it works, the steps and tools used to create AI “models”, and how anyone can use AI. The author also describes the many various uses and major applications in use today. Great organization, content, and depth for a beginner.

The author apparently believes that he’s explaining these topics — but no; not at all.I keep buying more and more of these books hoping that the author will take the view of the original programming designers and start off from their initial idea and how they would proceed to create Generative AI and AI Art and then walk us through some of the problems they encountered and how they solved those things…But like the physics books; they don’t really explain how they got the results or established the beliefs that they hold, they just insist that we believe them and don’t ask too many questions !!! ( ? )

Probably anyone reading this book should know something about digital computing, and especially coding. My computer classes were taken way back in the 1970s.I also know something about statistics and it’s use in evaluating data.I think that you can get a general overview of generative AI without a background in computing. But the more prior knowledge you have, the better.
